Blind Review

To ensure the integrity of the blind peer-review for submission to this press, every effort should be made to prevent the identities of the authors and reviewers from being known to each other. This involves the authors, editors, and reviewers (who upload documents as part of their review) checking to see if the following steps have been taken with regard to the text and the file properties:

  • The authors of the document have deleted their names from the text, with "Author" and year used in the references and footnotes, instead of the authors' name, article title, etc.
  • The authors of the document have removed personal information from the file properties by taking the following steps:
    • Microsoft Word for Windows:
      • Go to File
      • Select Info
      • Click on Check for Issues
      • Click on Inspect Document
      • In the Document Inspector dialog box, select the checkboxes to choose the type of hidden content that you want to be inspected.
      • Click Remove All
      • Click Close
      • Save the document
    • Microsoft Word for macOS:
      • Go to Tools
      • Click Protect Document
      • Select Remove personal information for this file on save
      • Click OK and save the file
    • PDF:
      • Go to File
      • Select Properties
      • Remove any name in the author field
      • Click OK
      • Save the document

Process:

The QB Informatics applies the policy of the peer-review process as follows:

  1. The manuscript sent by the author will go through a review process by the editor, especially checking the suitability of the manuscript with the scope and template of the Journal. In this process, the editor will establish communication with the writer so that the manuscript is worthy of being sent to the reviewer or even returned.
  2. Manuscripts that have passed step 1 above are then sent to two or more reviewers to review their content using the blind review method.
  3. The review process will consider novelty, objectivity, methods, scientific impact, conclusions, and references.
  4. Reviewers will suggest improvements and or acceptance / reject articles.
  5. The editor will decide by considering the reviewers' recommendations whether the manuscript meets the requirements.
  6. Received research articles will be available online after a peer-reviewed journal process
  7. The language used in this journal is English or Indonesian
  8. The decision of the editor in chief is final.
